Watercolor autumn leaves in green, gold, orange, and red on a soft paper background

Autumn watercolor background with floating maple and oak leaves

Delicate watercolor leaves drift across a soft wash of autumn color, moving from cool green tones on the left to warm gold, orange, and red on the right. Maple and oak shapes are scattered loosely over the paper-like background, with translucent pigment blooms and small speckles adding a hand-painted feel. The composition stays airy and horizontal, leaving plenty of pale negative space around the foliage. Gentle gradients and layered stains give the image a light, seasonal mood rather than a dense pattern. It works well as an abstract fall background for greeting cards, banners, or nature-themed design projects. The overall look is painterly, soft-edged, and decorative.
