People carving Halloween pumpkins at a rustic table

Two people are carving jack-o'-lanterns at a weathered wooden table, with several pumpkins already cut and glowing in the background. Hands, knives, and spoons frame the work in progress, while pumpkin pulp, seeds, and crumpled newspaper collect across the tabletop. Small lit candles add warm points of light and reinforce the cozy indoor setting. A red plaid shirt on one side and a dark knit sweater on the other give the scene a casual, homey feel. The composition stays tight on the activity, making the messy details of pumpkin carving feel authentic rather than posed. Orange pumpkins dominate the color palette, balanced by the muted wood and soft background blur. The mood suggests a relaxed Halloween tradition shared between friends or family.
